For many years, JB Hunter Technology have taught students Telecommunications cabling – leading to many with this qualification successfully obtaining permanent residence in Australia. Academies Australasia Advanced Diploma graduates qualify for direct entry into the Master Degree programme in Project Management, and then MBA, offered by Asia Pacific International College. For several years, Academies Australasia has collaborated with Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School and Australian International Hotel School to offer programmes for their students before they move on to specialised hotel management programmes.

Overseas, partnership arrangements are with prestigious institutions such as Tsinghua University, Beijing Normal University and Tianjin Open University in China, Thompson Rivers University in Canada, Etugen Institute in Mongolia, and Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education in South Korea. Collaboration with international partners is in respect to Academies Australasia programmes in Australia and Singapore, as well as their home country.

Daring to be First

While conscious of the lessons of history, and carefully prudent, the Academies Australasia team does not sit back for others to lead.  Academies Australasia has broken new ground in a number of areas. For example, it was the first education group in Australia to recognise PTE Academic.

Really knowing ‘International’ and offering more than just Australia

Over the years, Academies Australasia colleges have taught tens of thousands of students from 105 countries. Many members of faculty and staff, predominantly Australian, were born overseas, coming from 20 countries. They speak several languages. The marketing team is comprised mainly of people from overseas who first came to Australia to study. This background and sensitivity to cultural differences, needs and expectations, make them very well placed to understand and assist students from overseas. They know the issues and how best to address them. And they care.

Regular international travel and participation in organisations set up to promote a better understanding of international developments and trends, strengthens Academies Australasia’s position in the international education sector.

At any one time, students are from more than 60 countries. This wide international mix gives them exposure to different nationalities and cultures. Apart from learning about and enjoying living in Australia, they have the opportunity to learn about many other countries.

Academies Australasia Graduates

After graduating, Academies Australasia students have found success in a wide range of professions and businesses.

While most Academies Australasia students return home, many have fallen in love in Australia – with their partners and/or the country – and applied for permanent residence. Many have become citizens.
